Information we collect

Depending on how you use SochWise, we may collect the following:

• Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image if provided by your login method, authentication identifier, and login provider.
• Onboarding and profile details you choose to provide, such as age range, gender, country, and profession.
• Reflection content you type into the app, including chat messages, session history, generated clarity summaries, next small steps, what helps, what to remember, feedback, and insight cards.
• App usage and technical information needed to run the service, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, request timestamps, error logs, and basic server logs.
• Support information you send to us, such as your email address, account details, and the message you include when contacting support.

Information we do not collect

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your reflection content for advertising.
• We do not request precise GPS location from your device.
• We do not request access to your contacts, calendar, camera, photos, SMS messages, or phone calls for the current version of the app.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and authenticate your SochWise account.
• Save your sessions so you can return to them later.
• Generate guided questions, clarity summaries, next small steps, what helps, what to remember, and personal insight cards.
• Keep your data associated with the correct SochWise account and prevent removed accounts from seeing old app data after signing in again.
• Provide support, respond to deletion requests, and fix bugs.
• Maintain, secure, monitor, and improve the app.
• Comply with legal, safety, and platform requirements.

AI processing

SochWise uses AI processing to provide guided reflection, summaries, next steps, and insight cards. This means the content you enter into the app may be sent to an AI processing provider so the app can generate a response. We use this processing to provide app functionality, not for advertising.

Third-party services

SochWise relies on trusted third-party services to operate the app. These services may process personal information only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, or improve SochWise.

• Authentication providers, such as Apple and Google login.
• Cloud database and storage providers.
• AI processing providers.
• Backend hosting and infrastructure providers.
• App platform providers, such as Apple App Store and Google Play.

When information may be shared

We may share information in the following limited situations:

• With service providers that help us operate SochWise.
• When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
• When reasonably necessary to protect SochWise, users, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or safety risks.
• If SochWise is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice where required.

Data retention and deletion

We keep account and reflection data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide SochWise. You can start account deletion from inside the app, or request deletion by email if you cannot access the app.

When you request account deletion, your account is deactivated immediately: access is removed from the app, existing app data is no longer accessible in SochWise, and the account is kept in a recovery state for 30 days in case deletion was accidental. During that 30-day window, you can contact us to request restoration.

After 30 days, deleted accounts and associated app data are permanently deleted or de-identified unless we need to keep limited information for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup/operational purposes. See Delete Account for details.

Opt-out choices

You can stop future app data collection by uninstalling SochWise. You can also remove your account from inside the app or contact us for deletion help.

Children

SochWise is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to SochWise, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

AI output and responsibility

SochWise uses AI to generate questions, clarity summaries, next small steps, what helps, what to remember, and insight cards based on the information you provide. AI-generated directions, suggestions, and summaries may not always be accurate, complete, relevant, or suitable for your situation.

AI is designed to assist your reflection, but you are ultimately responsible for your own choices, actions, and outcomes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of SochWise after an update means the updated policy applies.
